YES, I GOT ENGAGED!!!!

So I've decided to record my journey, all the way up until my WEDDING! And I will be doing it right on my blog, instead of making a brand new one. It will be a SPECIAL EDITION: A WEDDING EDITION!

I am so excited and cannot WAIT to start planning my wedding. You know, yadda yadda... it's what every girl dreams of since she was a little girl, blah blah. So get ready for wedding EVERYTHING on this blog! 

A little back story on how he proposed:

Yup, you've guessed right. Well, almost. It was the weekend before Halloween (my favorite day of the year). We had gone home to Schenectady (near Albany), where I am originally from to see friends and family. We were getting ready to go out (I was Snow White, and he was Prince Charming). Well, he REALLY did propose in his Price Charming costume! It was the cutest thing ever and the best moment of my life thus far. I of course said yes, and I got to share it with my friends and family right away, WHICH MEANT THE WORLD TO ME!!!! 

Anyways, get ready for the new Edition soon. It's coming...

Hey everyone. I'm working on a new post for this upcoming weekend. I've been super busy trying to find a job and finally found one! GO ME!

I start the Shoe Dept on Friday. Which will be only nothing but trouble since shoes are ...MY LIFE. Anyway, check out my new banner I made! I thought I should switch things up a bit. Hang in there everyone. Here's a few new selfies.

Fashion Friday: Put together a quick summer look. Easy & affordable!

 

 How to Put Together a Quick Summer Look that's Easy & Affordable.

Because it's summer, you may want to brighten your face up a little bit with a bright pink or red. I chose a red from the Maybelline collection. Wearing makeup on a scorching hot day can be extremely uncomfortable, so I skipped putting the foundation on, or if I do I just use a light mineral powder by Physician's Formula. All I have on here is eye liner on my top lids and only half way across my water line. I also have a good reliable lipstick on and filled in my eyebrows.

I chose to wear a red floral romper that I purchased at Target during the spring time.  I'm wearing my over the shoulder mustered colored handbag for an accent appearance. Not much is required for this look. It's easy to slip on and comfortable in 90 degree weather.

If your like me and can't afford to get pedicures or manicures on a regular basis, you just do them yourself! I did this homemade manicure and double coated it with a clear concealer because it's summer and I know I'm going to be bare foot whenever possible. :-) All this takes is scotch tape, white polish, light pink polish and a clear coater. I cut the scotch tape into moon crescents and when my pink polish dries I apply the white tip. It's easy squeezy!

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I posted, but I've come up with a cute idea to show you while I wait for my next blog entry to be written up!

Man Crush Monday

Now it's time for my top ten hotties. I have a loving and GORGEOUS boyfriend of 3+ years , but let's face it- we ALL have celebrity crushes! So let's go a little boy crazy on MAN CRUSH MONDAY. Here i'll list some of my top celebrity crushes, as well as some of the hottest men in Hollywood.

10. John Mayer

He may be a man whore, but this man whore is easy on the eyes and dated hottie Katy Perry. Seeing John Mayer live made me love him even more. A talented hottie with sleeve tattoos? Yes please, and thank you!

9. Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter made this list because not only was he one of my first crushes ever, but every girl crushes on a jock once in her life at least, right? While my taste in men seems to be the more edgy, sleeve tattooed, dark hair look- Derek Jeter seems to do it for me just fine!

8.  Zachary Quinto

I may not be Zachary Quintos sexual preference, but I'm definitely a Trekkie! I fell in love with this man when he portrayed Spock in the new Star Trek movies. Nothings hotter than this Vulcan. Beam me up, Scotty!

7.Tom Hardy

This British babe is just about perfect.

6. Lenny Kravitz

I think Lenny Kravitz is gorgeous. Weird, right? He's my type of guy, I guess. Rocker, tattoos, and he's a real looker. And oh yeah, his body isn't so bad either!

Neil Patrick Harris has it all... a successful career post childhood stardom, a loving husband, beautiful twins... let's not be stingy here- he also grew up to be a very good looking guy with one of the most charming personalities I've ever seen on anyone. It's hard NOT to crush on this one!

Not hard to see why this quirky and intelligent man knocks in at number 4 on my list. JGL is damn gorgeous!

Not only does JT have the looks to make any women's lady parts catch fire, but his vocal cords can make sweet, sweet love to your ears as well!

Jason Segal is my funny man crush. Sure, he has an average body, even an average face. But his personality makes him way more hotter than he actually is. Who said personality doesn't matter again?!

Famous Atheists

Religious? You might want to read this. Atheist? You'll definitely want to read this!

According to theweek.com, Atheism is growing amongst the American population, however it is still the least trusted minority in our society. Why is this?

My boyfriend happens to be an Atheist. I trust him more than I trust anyone in this world. He doesn't believe in a higher power, but he'll show anyone how it's morally done. My boyfriend is a wonderful person with a good head on his shoulders. I happen to be an Atheist, myself. For the longest time I was confused and would label myself an Agnostic. I think the guilt is what got me the most. I am a God Mother to a beautiful three year old girl who is also my niece. At the time of her Baptism, I was not an outed Atheist and was actually quite confused at the time about everything. Needless to say, I would not change being a God Mother for the world. I love being a God Mother to her and I don't think that I need religion to morally guide someone.

Yet, people attach such a stigma to Atheism... I've heard quite a few things. "Devil Worshiper", "A person with nothing to lose", "A lost soul", "This person must not have morality".  I have heard it all.

To me, being an Atheist is none of those things. I don't believe in the devil just like I don't believe in God. I don't believe in angels, ghosts, or any supernatural powers what so ever. I simply believe that this is the one life that we are given, and once it is over, it's over. Give me discrete proof otherwise and I will believe in God, most definitely. Trust me, the thought of going somewhere after you die to be with loved ones sounds fabulous and I am all about it. I just don't think it's true due to all of the conflicting evidence I've been given.  Scientifically speaking, atoms and molecules don't die or exterminate... so we do technically go on to be something else. But it's not us, because we are basically just our brains hosting a body. Our brains is what makes us... us.

I am a good student, with a huge passion with helping other people. I am going to school to be a nurse. I have a loving family and boyfriend. I don't feel lost at all. In fact, I know exactly who I am. And I intend to make the most out of my life while I am here. I don't see whats so wrong with that. I don't seem to know how this could make someone a bad person.

So here is a small list of famous Atheists that I have gathered. You may be surprised by what you see. Atheist are just like anyone else. In fact, many of them are pretty intelligent and successful people. And if there was a Heaven, each and every one of these people would make it there because they are that awesome. :-)
