It's crazy how body image has evolved since the 1950s. I say, as long as people are happy and healthy, they shouldn't ever need to change! I am your newest follower and I hope you'll connect with me, as well!
: signe : the daily savant :
: blogspot
: bloglovin

$50 SheInside Voucher Giveway
Handmade Necklace Giveaway
: Green Chic Life :https://www.blogger.com/profile/09105849419120371930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486533778088044969.post-20519544521324407002013-04-21T23:32:05.491-04:002013-04-21T23:32:05.491-04:00I definitely agree! It sickens me how much they don't care about the health of the women at all. And also if I'm going to be buying clothing, I would like to see how it might look on me, not on someone who is basically the human equivalent of a clothes hanger, because she's that skinny.

And also, it's really sad when the photo editors decide that the girls still don't look skinny enough and Photoshop them skinnier, like in that Ralph Lauren photo. I could go into a whole separate rant on the things that photo editors do that piss me off, but I'll save it.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04497701961484073131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486533778088044969.post-90445801464347710782011-11-06T13:19:34.121-05:002011-11-06T13:19:34.121-05:00I loved this post. If we were meant to be that skinny, God wouldn't have given us hips and breasts and FOOD! There is a difference between being healthy and being unealistic, and I am glad to see an honest post about it. It's not that I was knocking just any ol' models. Usually women that are models are very unbelievably beautiful... i'm glad you see where I am coming from! And well said! :)Kristin Noellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14664476747360345180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486533778088044969.post-47551711558075120712011-07-21T15:08:18.010-04:002011-07-21T15:08:18.010-04:00I loved this post. I dabbled in a bit of 'modelling' (I wasn't taking it too seriously, and only got paid for some of the shoots I did) for fun for the first part of this year, but I eventually gave it up as, even though I didn't want to make a career out of it or anything, I still felt quite a dent in my self-esteem, as I'd see all these girls that were much taller and thinner than me. I'm 5ft 5 inches, and weigh 107lbs, so I'm pretty thin as it is, so I knew there was no way I would ever want to feel pressured into being unhealthy!

It's nice to see someone post in such detail about this. I'm a firm believer that if you feel beautiful as you are, then you should never let anyone try and change you!Shaunna @ Shaunna Readshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18167877662815748466noreply@blogger.com
